Drama school places are vied for by thousands of students every year. There is no single approach that is best.
The preparation we do together will be focused on bringing out your natural qualities as an actor and an artist. We will work to uncover the things that inspire you and make you tick. We'll find a range of material and discover connections within monologues that will make you shine.
If you're looking for advice, guidance and tutoring while preparing yourself for drama school auditions in 2023 you have come to the right place.
We can start with an initial session where we'll:

Talk through a plan to consider the right schools for you (below is a list of Institution links - application deadlines for BA Courses will be updated as soon as they are announced)
Assess the strengths you have as as an actor, artist and ensemble member
Run through some of the pieces you've worked on before (if applicable) to see some of your work live
Consider the type of audition material that will best serve you
If you're unfamiliar with UCAS/Personal Statement requirements we can work through that as well

Or we can dive straight in to:

Finding, selecting and honing material that plays to your strengths and offers contrast in your performance
Technical and imagination work to take you towards mastering your versions of selected contemporary and classical material
Consider how best to approach taking on redirection and notes within the audition room
Equip you with the tools required to excel within interview and workshop scenarios
Work through mock auditions to put you in a place of confidence and ease
Be there with you every step of the way to provide the support you need

We can offer insight from ongoing work in the industry, as well as teaching-experience at leading drama schools. (I can also just about remember what it was like studying at drama school myself).
Since the COVID-19 Pandemic reshaped the drama school audition process most schools have continued running virtual auditions or
self-taped monologues for at least their first-round auditions. We can ensure that you are prepared for these with confidence and style; so that you offer your best work.
